Ronald Castor is an executive with over 45 years of experience in the Accounting and Financial Services industries.

Prior to 1999, Ron’s career was in the private industry starting as a Cost Accountant, and steadily progressing to Controller, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer positions. He established an international manufacturing facility, managed the multiple operations of an international company and went on to manage a nationally recognized franchiser.

At the same time, Ron received his CPA certification and started preparing individual tax returns for family, friends and acquaintances. Ron moved from private accounting to public accounting gaining the experience requirement of his CPA license with a local CPA firm . Upon obtaining his CPA license in 2001, he launched Ronald Castor LC. as a sole practitioner and grew the firm to where it is today nearly 25 years later.

Ronald Castor
CPA | Managing Firm Partner

Ron holds his Series 7 and 66 registrations and is an Investment Advisor Representative with Cetera Advisors, LLC. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kansas.

Ron is also active in the community working as a youth coach and has spent a number of years as Treasurer for the Blue Valley Soccer Club.

Cindy Shriver
Administrative Assistant

Cindy is the welcoming face of Ronald Castor, LC. She ensures smooth daily operations and exceptional client care. With a strong background in management across banking and retail sales, she brings years of experience in customer service and team coordination. Cindy loves connecting with clients and believes attentiveness and kindness build trust and understanding.

Outside the office, Cindy enjoys time with her two daughters, three grandkids, and two lovable pups.

Staff Accountants

Pam Peters

Pam joined the team in January 2002. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Northwest Missouri State University. Prior to joining the firm, Pam gained experience in private industry and government services. When Pam is not in the office, she enjoys reading and spending time with family.

Michael Mahieu, CPA

Michael joined the team in February 2025. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 2015 with a Master of Accountancy and tax certificate, and shortly after, he attained his CPA license. He has worked in the office of independently owned CPA firms crunching numbers and providing high-quality tax advice ever since.

He enjoys nature and gardening in his spare time.

Denise Young

Denise joined the team in November 2024 and holds a CPA certification from the State of Kansas. Denise brings a diverse accounting and finance perspective after years in public accounting, banking, and the telecommunications industry. Denise is originally from Omaha, NE, but after receiving Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas, she now calls Overland Park, KS home.

When Denise is not in the office, she is probably traveling or with family. Rock Chalk and Go Chiefs!

Drew Schoenberger

Drew Schoenberger joined the Ronald Castor LC CPA Team in June 2024. Drew has been working as an Accountant ever since he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, as well as his Business of Sports & Entertainment certificate, from Kansas State University in December 2021. Drew is originally from Chanute, KS, and is a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan.

Mayra Naji

Marya joined the Ronald Castor LC CPA Team in January 2025. She graduated in December of 2023, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Marya has been living in Kansas for the past seven years and is eager to gain experience in accounting. She is also currently studying for the CPA exam. Outside of work, Marya enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as taking Pilates and yoga classes.
