Ronald Castor
CPA | Managing Firm Partner
Ron holds his Series 7 and 66 registrations and is an Investment Advisor Representative with Cetera Advisors, LLC. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kansas.
Ron is also active in the community working as a youth coach and has spent a number of years as Treasurer for the Blue Valley Soccer Club.
Cindy Shriver
Administrative Assistant
Cindy is the welcoming face of Ronald Castor, LC. She ensures smooth daily operations and exceptional client care. With a strong background in management across banking and retail sales, she brings years of experience in customer service and team coordination. Cindy loves connecting with clients and believes attentiveness and kindness build trust and understanding.
Outside the office, Cindy enjoys time with her two daughters, three grandkids, and two lovable pups.
Staff Accountants
Pam Peters
Pam joined the team in January 2002. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Northwest Missouri State University. Prior to joining the firm, Pam gained experience in private industry and government services. When Pam is not in the office, she enjoys reading and spending time with family.
Michael Mahieu, CPA
Michael joined the team in February 2025, bringing over a decade of specialized accounting and tax expertise. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 2015 with a Master of Accountancy and a tax certificate, earning his CPA license shortly after. Since then, Michael has dedicated his career to independently owned CPA firms, delivering high-quality tax strategy and precise financial guidance.
Outside the office, he enjoys connecting with nature and spending time gardening.
Denise Young
Denise joined the team in November 2024 and holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the State of Kansas. She brings a broad perspective on accounting and finance, with experience spanning public accounting, banking, and the telecommunications industry. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Denise earned Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas (KU) and now calls Overland Park, Kansas, home.
When Denise is not in the office, she is probably traveling or spending time with family. Rock Chalk and Go Chiefs!
Mayra Naji
Marya joined the team in January 2025. She graduated in December of 2023, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Marya has been living in Kansas for the past seven years and is eager to gain experience in accounting. She is also currently studying for the CPA exam. Outside of work, Marya enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as taking Pilates and yoga classes.
Duncan Gakuru
Duncan Gakuru joined the team in October 2026. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. Duncan gained valuable accounting and tax experience while working at a certified public accounting firm in Springfield. Outside the office, Duncan enjoys playing games, working out, spending time with friends and traveling.
Robin Heimerman
Robin Heimerman joined the team in September 2026. She is currently pursuing an associate degree in liberal arts at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) and plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in finance. Robin supports daily office operations and is committed to enhancing the client experience through attentive service and clear communication. Outside of work and school, Robin enjoys playing card games, reading, and exploring her creativity through art and ceramics.
